Ultra-short-pulsed and highly-efficient diode-pumped Yb:SYS mode-locked oscillators

Abstract : We report the shortest pulses ever produced with an Yb3+:SrY4(SiO4)3O {Yb:SYS} laser. 70 fs has been demonstrated for an average power of 156 mW at 1066 nm. Moreover, tunability in the 100-fs range has been obtained between 1055 nm and 1072 nm. Finally, an average power of 420 mW has been obtained at 1068 nm with 110-fs pulses
